Radio Station

My station’s room is full audio-insulated with special foam modules glued on the walls.
The room is divided into two parts: a part for technician works and a part for the radio’s shack.
The main radio of the shack is a YAESU FT-950: a HF+6m transceiver with 100W of power. My impression about this radio is very good, I think that the DSP enphasizes very good the RX and in particular the full configuration’s possibilities allows a complete customization!
In TX mode a fantastic modulation is guaranteed by the parametric equalizer that allows you to adapt any microphone.
Many accessories are homemade, as the digital interface to work in digital modes, the microphone interface to allow any mics and foot PTT, the power supply based on an ATX PC supply, etc…
I have two antenna switch: one by Ameritron and one homemade with high power relays, these are integrated with an automatic band decoder board by W9XT, for automatic band switch at the change of frequency.
